Leetsdale Garden Club
Leetsdale Garden Club is a Civic Garden Club dedicated to nurturing a love of gardening, beautification of our community, environmental causes and education pertaining to horticultural issues.
Sewickley Public Library
A community and cultural resource since 1873, the Sewickley Public Library has been established to provide free quality service to residents of the Quaker Valley School District, Allegheny County residents, and qualified non-residents.
The Library offers a variety of materials and services to meet your educational, informational, and recreational needs. Owning over 90,000 titles – housing an ever-growing collection of fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs, music CDs, audio books, and magazines – the Library also has access to the materials of all other participating Allegheny County Library Association libraries to provide you with as much information as possible.Special Services
- The Library is open 7 days a week and offers free parking. Our book drop is located in the back of the building and is accessible 24-hours a day.

Since 1898, the Union Aid Society has been a safety-net for the 11 municipalities of the Quaker Valley School District. Quietly and with compassion, we help any neighbor in need. The Union Aid Society relies on generous support from our community to make assistance available to those needing help.SERVICES PROVIDED
Services provided by the Union Aid Society include emergency funding for rent, medical bills, food and utilities. We own and subsidize apartments for low income seniors, and coordinate several annual community programs – Thanksgiving Food Program, Children’s Holiday Gift Program, Scholarships and Back-to-School clothing and supplies.
The executive director, a licensed social worker, works with people in crisis to arrange for immediate help or refers them to other agencies that can meet their needs.

To build a healthy spirit, mind, and body based on Christian principles and to improve the quality of life for children, individuals, and families in the Quaker Valley, Moon, Cornell, and Ambridge School Districts.
Child Health Association of Sewickley
In 1923, three women organized to provide fresh milk to undernourished Sewickley school children. How could they know that over 85 years later, the charitable society they formed would come to allocate over $3.7 million for children’s programs and services throughout Western Pennsylvania?
As a forerunner of volunteer action in Pittsburgh, the Child Health Association of Sewickley, named Outstanding Philanthropic Organization in 1997 by the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of Fund Raising Executives, has grown to be a noted funding source of child-related charities in Western Pennsylvania. We are an all-volunteer organization with approximately 60 active members and a caring constituency of over 150 associate members. Last year alone, our volunteers logged nearly 10,000 hours working toward Child Health’s mission of nurturing the WHOLE child by supporting programs and services that directly address children’s emotional, educational, physical and recreational needs.
Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce
The Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce, a local business and community development and resource center, was established back in 1920, during the time in which Ambridge, PA was a major benefactor in the developing steel industry. Ambridge, with such a rich ethnic background, was the prime location for a large community event, the largest in Beaver County, to be held. In 1965, the AACC began what has become a major staple event in the local areas, Nationality Days, held yearly along Merchant Street in Ambridge, which also happens to be the longest main street in Beaver County.
The Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce has more recently undergone some of its biggest changes in its history. The chamber is now run by the youngest chamber director ever in the United States, Jeremy G. Angus.
The Chamber has also undergone a major change in location. The organization has just moved into an old shopper’s rest area along the Merchant Street corridor. The building location was in a dilapidated state for the community when, some three years ago, the AACC was given the okay by the Ambridge Borough to completely renovate this space for new chamber offices and an Ambridge police substation. Over the last three years the organization has put over $120,000 into the new space.
The Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce continues to develop and progress into a highly successful and strong organization in the community. The Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce truly hopes to continue to have the opportunity to reach out the town of Ambridge, one with a “Proud Past, Bright Future”, into the surrounding Pittsburgh areas.
The Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to not only the development and progression of this great community, but is also proud to represent hundreds of businesses in the local 8 communities they represent. The Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to represent: Ambridge, Baden, Bell Acres, Economy, Fair Oaks, Harmony Township, Leet Township and Leetsdale. All of these communities and their businesses are important to the Ambridge Chamber. Leetsdale VFW - Local 3372
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) are a national and chartered veterans organization. Leetsdale Post 3372 of Veterans of Foregin Wars is open for membership to all American war veterans. The purpose of this and all VFW posts is to provide assistance to all American veterans and their families.
